Now that The CW’s newest series in its ever-growing DC Comics shared universe has premiered, the three shows - Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow - have returned to or established the unique storylines in their respective seasons. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) on The Flash is attempting to figure out how to get faster in order to defeat Zoom, Arrow has Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) trying to save Star City from Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and the team on Legends of Tomorrow is pursuing Vandal Savage (Caspar Crump) across time.

Earlier reports teased certain aspects of upcoming episodes. Arrow’s John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla Michaels (Audry Marie Anderson) will be making their way to Central City on The Flash; The CW’s animated hero Vixen (Megalyn Echikunwoke) will appear on Arrow; and the Legends will run into an aged version of Oliver. Now, new episode synopses for upcoming episodes confirm all these events will arrive at the end of February.

As reported by ComicBookMovie, The CW has released the synopses for the episodes of the week of February 22nd, titled ‘King Shark’, ‘Taken’, and ‘Star City 20146’ for The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow respectively. Take a look:

The Flash - ‘King Shark’

Arrow - ‘Taken’

“ARROW’S” DIGGLE (DAVID RAMSEY) AND LILA (AUDREY MARIE ANDERSON) CROSS OVER TO “THE FLASH” TO TAKE ON KING SHARK – When King Shark escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, Lila (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) and Diggle (David Ramsey) travel to Central City to warn The Flash (Grant Gustin). King Shark shows up at the West house and attacks Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Iris (Candice Patton), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Barry.

Legends of Tomorrow - ‘Star City 2046’

VIXEN JOINS TEAM ARROW – Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) so he calls in an old friend – Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk’s location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm (John Barrowman).

THE TEAM ENCOUNTERS A VERY DIFFERENT OLIVER QUEEN – When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage (guest star Casper Crump) and never return home. The city is in ruins and overrun by criminals, which thrills Rory (Dominic Purcell). Sara (Caity Lotz) is despondent over the destruction of her home and stunned when she learns what happened to her old friend, Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell).

Although all three of The CW’s live-action DC Comics series have been mainly following their own separate storylines since their return from the midseason break, the last week of February will bring a number of crossovers. As with previous crossovers, the events will likely please fans who enjoy seeing various characters from the shows interact with each other. The elements of King Shark returning, Vixen getting her live-action debut, and Sara meeting an older version of Oliver add another level of excitement for fans.

Of course, as we’ve also seen with crossovers in the past, they run the risk of taking too much time away from the main season’s story threads of the shows in order to provide these moments for the fans. But, that being said, these episodes appear to be much smaller in scale than The CW’s crossover event earlier in the season, so they may be able to strike a balance between developing their own storylines and dealing with the visiting characters. Certainly, the elements of these episodes are compelling in and of themselves, but it remains to be seen how successful the shows will be with incorporating them into The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.
